It's hard to believe my first semester of college is just about over. The fact that I've been here for roughly 4 months already is a crazy statistic, and before I know it spring will be upon us and I can start thinking about summer. One thing at a time though. The end of semester isn't a time to coast and relax, it's a time to grind and lock in. With finals week finally here, I need to be productive and finish strong.
It's easy for me to quickly get stressed out and overwhelmed with my workload from various classes, and these past few days have been no exception. However, this is great experience for what will become the norm for the next 3 years. Finals week has taught me just being productive is the most important thing I can do. I read a quick article, attached below, which gave the advice of conquering the harder/important tasks first, before jumping onto smaller ones. I tried this out, and it lowered my stress level and allowed me to check important assignments off my to-do list well before the due dates. Focusing on my important tasks first gave me more time to do good work without rushing, and when it came time to do smaller tasks, I was way more efficient. It's so critical for me to have structure when there's a lot that needs to be done.
I never experienced finals in high school, so this is a whole new experience to me. I'm hoping that all the work I put in is rewarding in the end, and that I continue to stay productive throughout my time in college, which will no doubt ensure success.
